Could you build a SU37 lib for FA for me with roundels that are changeable?
For my personnel use only.

I always thought it was an interesting USNF97 plane.

Best Regards,
Pappy

My main motivator for loading the '97 toolkit was to get the SU-37 shape. This process lead me to discover that the SU-37 shapes & pic are already on the FA disk. The aircraft PT file has been removed. In FA, I tried using the '97 PT file for the -37, but FA keeps CTD.

So, for those wanting an SU-37, just create one using the FA toolkit. The SU-37 shapes are selectable in the shapes menu.

Update:
I added the SH & PIC files (including preview .jpg pics) for the M113 and F-104 as well as included the icons for the Yak-141 and Atomic Moth. In the Items.txt of the zip file, I added an addendum to the bottom. The updated zip file is located at the link below with a slightly different name from eBurger's original file.

http://myplace.frontier.com/~usnraptor/Fighters%20Anthology/Aircraft/97_sh_V2.zip

I tried using the icons in FA, but they did not come out looking like they should. Also, the zip file has individual files in lieu of a .lib file.

Pappy,

I sent you a PM.

Has anyone else noticed that the FA SU-37 looks a little similar to the Chinese J-20?

You suppose that the Commies reversed engineered FA to build J20? LMAOAHF

If so, it probably wasn't too difficult with the help of Bill Clinton selling them our secrets in the '90s (or so is the rumor).

No rumor.

He sold them supper computers so they could MRIV the nuclear missile warheads and multi stage their missiles.
Guess who got that technology from the ChiComs? NK.

Gets better.

The supper computers allowed the Ruskies to mill their nuke sub props, so they are quieter.
That makes their attack and missile boats harder to find by ASW.

Best Regards,
Pappy

I created a J-20 Black Eagle (its new NATO name). It can be found at the following link:

http://myplace.frontier.com/~usnraptor/Fighters%20Anthology/Aircraft/Aircraft.ZIP

I started with the F-22 flight model, made some changes based on what little "information" I could find on the J-20, and used the Fighters Anthology SU-37 shapes. It is a carrier aircraft.

I also updated the J-10 Firebird with its NATO name.

There is already a shape built for the J-20... I believe its in Zephyr's latest lib and also downloadable from this site...

However the shape has many errors including flap errors and other errors. I have no idea if its stable or not...

I got your J20.
The internal gun should be an internal bay on the load out.

Thanks again for the plane.

Best Regards,
Pappy

Just curious, why should the gun be an internal bay?

Thanks to CAG, I'm now conflicted on which shape/pic to use. If I use Zephyr's shape, then what to do with the Su-37 shape? Any suggestions?

I tested the black J-20 shape (from JKPFA -- J20PD.SH and _J20PD.PIC; it uses MiG25_s.SH ). It worked for me. No visible tailhook (same with Su-37 shape) and the flaps were only visible from below.

I put your plane in the lib I use and what should be an internal bay is listed as internal gun on the load out screen.
I use Kapset 3.0.

Your chose on what you do.

Best Regards,
Pappy

Your J20 lib is fine and very good.

I tried it in an unlib copy of FA and the internal gun is there.
I tried in another lib I like with FA and the internal gun is there.

Your J20 lib shows the internal gun as a missile in Kapset 3.0.

I like your plane lib because it is smaller and takes up less game space.

Sorry, for the confusion!

Best Regards,
Pappy
