Ok then I will build the crash shapes and skins as well, plus correct the shadow... you get better stability that way...

CAG,

Do you have the A-5 shape/texture ready?

Did you ever get the AN-2 shape/texture working?

The A-5 appears in several missions and is played in one mission.

I need to tweek the Cam file, ready the playset, and update the website.

You estimated mid November so I had planned on finishing up this weekend on the A-5 and the AN-2 early next week(12th or 13th).

Ok good... I am running some final tests on the new shape for a last look at any possible stability errors... Where should I send it when completed?

Good news I think I found the error and will be testing it with Duke online Monday Night..

Duke and I have finally conquered the FA multiplayer connection with XP and Win7 together... It was a nightmare so we should be able to complete testing this week. I am working on this all day tomorrow so I should be able to send you the first Beta for testing Tuesday or Wednesday for you to test with your libraries then any uncovered multiplayer issues from testing with Duke can be dealt with at the same time with any issues you may uncover...

I identified one of the problem areas in the shape and need some input from you for which solution to use to fix the issue...

The shape destabilized due to the front wing strakes as they stretch the wing shapes to much and cause the skin file to distort and crash the game... They run from the tip of the engine inlet to the wing root... You can see them on a real RA-5C here at the following link...

https://www.skytamer.com/1.2/2007/7154.jpg

As you can see on the original A-3J / A-5A these strakes did not exist and were added later to the RA-5C...
Original A3J / A-5A here...

That last link has a tremendous number of pictures of various versions of the Vigilante... I can either delete the attempt on the existing shape or use the wing flap polygons to replace them, but that will mean no visible flaps on the aircraft... So which is more important for you on the shape?

I never paid attention to the fact that it had wing strakes. However, I would notice flaps missing.

Keep the flaps.

They wouldn't be missing they just wouldn't work because they would be part of the wing polygons instead of a separate polygon...
