Need a Toolkit Refresher Course...

Subscript out of range error when attempting to move to an existing project...

Already took a look at the ITEM.DAT and PROJECT.DAT file in the project I am currently in and there are now blank spaces at the end of the file...

I can import new projects, but cant move to any existing projects...

But its been to long for me to remember any other places to look for the fix.

I may have had this problem in the past, but I was unable to duplicate it today. The only error message I could generate said something about Input.

Feel free to send me a copy of the item.dat file (or post what it looks like here).

The project.dat shouldn't be an issue.

I would delete Shortcut.DAT to eliminate that as a possibility.

You may want to print off the Item.dat file and check to ensure each item listed still exist in your folder, and is named correctly.

Its not the .DAT Files... Has anyone run into this error before in their Toolkit?

Where in toolkit is the file that tells the program what all your projects are?

Other than that I am at a loss on whats causing the error...

You may just have to "Bite the Bullet" by creating a new project (or maybe break it down into several smaller projects), and then dragging your old project files into the new project folder.

Its not that either... I can create new projects but cant move between any of them. I cant even move to a project I just imported previous to the one I am in. I can only stay in whatever project I am in at that time. To move to another project I have to import it but then I cant move back...

And even if I create a new FATK install it has the same error... Do I have to rebuild my cache?

Where is Cent or Zephyr when I need them? I am sure they have run into this before...

I'm an idiot... I had the same problem 3 years ago and simply forgot about it...

Problem is to many projects in the project folder. There is a hard coded max number...

Solution, remove old projects from the folder and store them outside FATK and problem solved.

We both worked on this same problem in that thread as well...

I will make it a sticky on the FAF Forum...

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2165

Now I can get back to work on your A-5 Vigilante ... This FATK issue was in the way of testing as well as end of year demands on me by clients but I will have the 4 day weekend to do as I please and it will be finishing the A-5.
