So I accidentally killed my pilot by mashing ESC too long trying to get through the death cutscene, and I don't have a backup. Is there a way to edit the pilot file so that I can continue his campaign? I have hundreds of hours on this pilot and really really don't want to lose him... |

Success! I finally got the FATK working on a VM, and was able to revive my pilot! I also found that you can add a custom call-sign sound file, so that will be something to play with later! |

Instead of esc, press space bar to end death scene. Then press Enter to continue the campaign. Also, in your Fighters Anthology folder, the game saves the pilot backup file PILOT.BKP Back in the very old days, a patch was made because one of the old versions would count one strike of the ESC key as two or three strikes, therefore ending your campaign. |

Yeah, the funny thing is this is something I've feared happening the whole time. I did find the backup, but it looks like permakilling my pilot also killed my backup. In any case, I did manage to get it fixed, and it gave me a very interesting look at all the data in the pilot file. |
