Centurian's Shape Skin Repository v 2.0

For a limited time, download this user-friendly version. Included are preview pictures of all the aircraft and in each zip file is both the .lib and the files that are found inside the lib.

Making it more user friendly was a project I did a few months ago.

Update, new address:

What's the NoVerTail Jaguar about? Why no vertical tail? Is there a story about it?

To fix time stamp issues, reinstall Fighters Anthology. BUT, before doing so, set your computer clock year to 1998. Install FA and the patch, then reset the computer clock to the current year.

This works on Win 9x systems; I'm guessing it'll work on newer systems as well.

Or you could just run the touch program on the libs you want to add. That will give them the current date.

Thanks for the outstanding compliment that I was a good beta tester.
It was an extreme honor to be in your forum and an unofficial tester.

You were a good Skipper.

I still think that NK mini subs would be a good addition to your lib. :)

Best Regards and Merry Christmas,
Pappy

I'll have to defer that question to Centurian.

Cent...

This is the picture in the zip file of the No Vertical Tail Jaguar...

Is it to simulate a damaged Jaguar fighter-bomber perhaps? Its tail blown off and no working rudder controls?

I have not yet looked at the actual libs so I have not flown it yet. Just saw the pic in the zip file and thought "WTF?"

Not a clue - I don't think I've ever seen that before.
I'm guessing whomever made the shape to add to SSR had his own reasoning for it but I can't possibly think what it is.
A Jaguar with that much damage isn't going to be flying that's for sure.

My guess would be they did just for the sake of doing it.

If only they made a P-3 and IL-76 without the radar domes. I think the IL-76 would make a good C-141.

I found an old version of my site saved.
JKPete did it.

Description is only "Jaguar w/ tail texture removed"

Hey Pappy,

I sent an email with links in it. Just in case it got spam-filtered, here are the (temporary) links.

UPDATE: Links no longer valid.

I did extra work than requested. Be sure to read the ReadMe text in each zip file before proceeding.

If there are any problems, feel free to let me know.

Merry Christmas

I have one that I have shared of the IL-76 without the disk, if you would like it... And the P3C as well without the dome or the radar bulge on top.

Not sure what the benefit would be? The jaguar would never be able to stay in the air without a vertical stabilizer. The engines are not spaced far enough apart to control such an aircraft's heading my engine thrust alone...

Thanks you very much for the Bf109, Spitfire and P51 planes. :D :D
They are great and a wonderful addition to a IAF Lib I play in FA.

In the 1948 war, Israeli Air Force flew Bf109, escorting their B17's in bombing raids against Arab targets.
A few years ago, German flown Bf109's were trying to shoot down American flown B17's in WWII.
I think they purchased the Bf109's from Spain.

The Arabs flew Spitfires against the IAF.
They were purchased probably from England.
This was just reversed from the Battle of Britain, where the good guys flew Spitfires against German Bf109's

Later, the IAF was equipped with P51 fighters.
Let me know if I can return the favor.

Merry Christmas and Best Regards,
Pappy
