Yes. I need your e-mail address again. Mine is xxxxx@yahoo.com.

UPDATE: Here is a temporary link with the requested Yak Lib http://myplace.frontier.com/~ocsdor/YAK97.LIB
For the USNF97 Yak shape and pic, I renamed them X141.SH and _X141.PIC. The X needs to be reverted back to a Y in order for it to work in FA.

For the ATF libs, I still need your e-mail to send them to you (or anyone that wants them). The largest file is 44 MB. Many are below 13 MB.

I have a 20MB limit on my email. I will try to get it raised and post an update. I PM'd you the address. You should remove your address from this post...

Pappy, I sent you an e-mail.

Sorry to all, but I'm going to put on hold the ATF Files posting until I can get the web hosting/e-mail mess straightened out. I have sent CAG some of the lib files, and hope to be able to post/host all the files for everyone to download in the near future.

ATF Gold can be found free on the internet (I don't remember where I found it).

For using ATF Gold in the FA Toolkit: After installing the game (ATF Gold), use LiB Hack to make the default libs readable and split the larger (as in number of items) libs into smaller ones. Give the libs a new name that does not resemble the default name. Then import into the FA Toolkit.

Back on topic. I don't know if we can necessarily call this next item a hidden gem, but it did happen to me for the first time ever just a couple weeks ago.

I sustained battle damage in the F-15, and lost a single engine. In the past, I have often had reduced power to the engines, but never (as far as I can remember) until recently have I lost an engine (on a multi engine aircraft).

Coincidentally, a few weeks prior to that, I was talking to my wife about how the B-52 has 8 engines, but in FA, never do I lose some engines. It's always all or nothing.

Was this in a Campaign or a Regular Mission or an Quick Mission?

While combing through FA files in the Toolkit, I came across this gem. It is located in graphics --> other, and is OSF.PIC .

Image

Any ideas? Did this ever show up in any of the games? Do you suppose they planned on a San Francisco map at one time?

Yes its well known that map image existed in FA. It was for a western USA map that EA never built...

Just found another one: MAI.PIC .

It's a map of the New England states.

Names for the in flight maps are in place too. IFMOSF.PIC and IFMMAI.PIC . However, when you view them in the toolkit, the Baltic IFM is substituted.

What a boner-killer.

Yep... Left over files from projects killed due to delivery dates...

While converting the sound files to .wav the other day, I noticed there is one in Fighters Anthology default files that does not list itself in the Toolkit. I'm pretty sure I used to hear this file back in the USNF days, but don't remember it recently.

Here is the wave file: http://myplace.frontier.com/~usnraptor/^FCKTONE.WAV

Those would have been interesting maps if they had come to fruition. The west coast map reminds me of Jetfighters II.

It's a shame the FA toolkit never had a component to allow for the easy construction of new maps.
