So a bit of a discussion over on the Discord by sandmartin. USNF '97 has this option "Realistic Targeting" but FA doesn't. Theory is it might be in the FA.exe but no one really knows. What with that SM6 - aam.sh discussion it might be in there but inactivated. Anyone now how we'd find out? |

Apparently it's there. Question remains on how to activate. |

Good points but it may have to do with target window settings. In FA that setting is a 0 in the PT file. |

I checked this out in USNF '97. When checked, the F7, F8, Ctrl-F7 & 8 are no longer available to the player. When the target flies past you, your aircraft will lose target whereas when 'Realistic' is left unchecked, the aircraft will continue to maintain the target. |

Yeah which would be awesome to have because you should lose track once it's out of your visual / sensor field of view. |

What do the PT Files in USNF '97 have set for window distance? |
