Has anyone concidered creating phospherous bomb's/Artillery shells. I believe these were some sort of incinderary ordinance, as they exploded spreading white hot burning phospherous over an area. My dad told me that during WWII, they used it against armor and some shipping as the phopherous burned through steel plating and some light armor. These were still used during Viet Nam as well. In fact you can see one detinate below an F-4 Phantom during the VN Camp intro movie.

Incase some of you have never seen one of these go off, it's the blast that looks like white spiked flowers blooming on the battle field.

rgrt Phosphorous munitions are still used in light antitank weapons. In the Falklands war British soldiers were equipped with Phosphorous smoke grenades, but they used them to clear the Argentinian trenches with them as they were more effective than their frag grenades.

Rgr, they didn't really blow any thing up, just burned through it. If it burned through to the inside of ligth armor it would set of any ordinance inside. Bet it was hell on personal.

I've made white phospherous that my AAV could shoot for my Marines Lib which has been cancelled. Just make a rocket type weapon with a smoke frequency of 120 shoot up at about a 45 degree angle. If you enable continuous fire with the rocket spread option thing then it makes a big smoke screen.

If you shoot too many though, the smoke from the first ones you fired disappears immediatly.

How far along did that LIB get? Is it releasable?

Theres not much in the lib....only like 20 custom things. The highlights are a green su-25, a Combat Rubber Raiding Craft (SEALS boat), white phosphorus, troops you can fire from an AAV that cause damage to things in the area (including yourself  ). The rest is just simple things like TOW missiles. Theres no missions or anything

I would like to see it also. I have already incorporated smoke screens grenades for my armor. But I did it differently and would like to see what you have done.

FA never ceases to amaze me! It is such an open architecture that you can create nearly anything!

Please send to CAG@VNFAWING.com

Thanks!

Except, at the moment, shapes...

Back to the original post, I think that a little variety in FA weapons would be nice. The more the better.

Actually all new shapes are now also a possibility! As is a brand new graphics engine...

There really is no limitation any longer now that we have the disassembled code. However it will be a slow process, but FA-2 is now a possibiltiy...

WOW!

It is most astounding.

However, the main issue that needs to be worked out after the code is, to form a consortium responsible for getting a standard set for it. Otherwise chaos would ensue, and that would not be good. :(

After playing the Marines lib, I've decided that there isn't anything of value in it except the Combat Rubber Raiding Craft. The smoke screen doesnt conceal you so its worthless. I dont know what you would want to see in this lib, as there isn't anything to see. It is no where near releasable quality.

Well lister, it isnt necessaryly for your finished products... Its to see how you approaching solving problems and issues in the development of your lib items. Your thinking on solving issues may be quite different then mine and I could learn from it...
