just found out the F-22 will pull at leaste 7 Gs at 40,000ft! Havent checked mine for that yet. Weights? dunno , I've seen the gross anywhere from 60 to 80,000lbs! The weights of raptor have been kept very quiet, and as always in a program like this the weights change from time to time anyway.

I have read some differing info:

1. 2 or more .50 cabin guns (that's probably outdated), not at the doors, but at the ramp.

2. 30mm cannon (I don't believe that)

3. 20mm (multibarrel) slewable cannon (that's what I believe is the most likely) I didnt have time to do any research, I can try to find out what the real armament will be.

I know next to nothing about the V-22 details.
However, I remember a FA lib where its engines/rotors were made
to actually TILT anywhere from 0 to 90 degrees.
Don't remember what lib it was, but I am pretty sure I have that lib on my computer.

Just trying to help.

What I have found out is that the plans for the nose gun were dropped in 1994 but considered again in 1998.

The MV-22Bs built after 2004 will have a turretted three-barrelled 12.7mm gun based on the GAU-19/A.

ROF: 1,200 rpm, 750 round magazine under the floor, can be replenished in flight.

The same weapon will be retrofitted to older MV-22s.

USAF is considering a self-defense gun for the CV-22.

I wonder if they really think a .50 cal is enough or if anything bigger would have been too expensive.

THat gatling version of the 50 cal is a very effective weapon, though I do not understand the low volume of fire? I thought it was 1200 rounds per minute per barrel?

Kap I didnt see the V-22 in the helo lib you sent me. So I guess you didnt?
