Or will I call it 7.xx? Who knows. But anyhow for those that have been flying it what do you think needs fixing? I am implementing the SAM sites that use the methods discussed here as well as fixing the names of all British aircraft so Sea Harrier FA2 instead of F/A Mk. 2 and stuff like I had. I fixed the warhead weight of the R-23R/T Apex. The Su-34 has been renamed 'Fullback' and otherwise what have ya'll got for me? Is the Su-35 the Flanker-E or just Flanker or something else? |

Hmm... perhaps changing the names of the Russian aircraft to their actual ones instead of NATO ones? It doesn't make that much of a difference, but I just think the Russian names sounded nice... |

Quote: Is the Su-35 the Flanker-E or just Flanker or something else? Ehhh I remember Vark111 once called it "Flanker-M" but that's just an arbitrary name: M as in Modfied. I think NATO or whoever does the naming is waiting until these Russian prototypes actually go somewhere. Same story with Chinese planes- I don't know of a codename for the J-10 which is in operational evaluation now IIRC. Zephyr |

Hi, Havent the ASCC/NATO stopped giving names to new Russian/Non American aircraft? Calling planes by the names the flyers use is ther best. MiG 21 = Balalaika ![]() |

Actually the RuAF called it the SU-27M Super Flanker... THey did not accept the new SU-35 designation of the Sukoi bureau.. But since it ws never produced it doesnt much matter... |

Spoke to this one guy in Moscow who said the Su-35 was in service already in one squadron. I don't know where they got the money if it is but if so then the Ruskie's got a lot of stuff to work on... |

He is spreading Russian disinformation (they are VERY good at that!) No SU-35 or SU-27M Flankers or Super Flankers in service anywhere in the world... |

The several Su-35s built are in service with an test/operational evaluation squadron. I don't know if they actually regularly fly. Zephyr |

Actually none of these aircraft are 'new build' SU-35s or even SU-30s... as Sukuoi(did I spell that right?) has been busy using their 'test' SU-27s heavily modified to represent these new birds and modifying them to suit the new model they want to display. All were built as original SU-27s... |
