Can anyone who does the .exe editing please put up a help/FAQ file on what to do, wheer to start, as I have t4ried tinkerinf with Hackman, and am clueless..

Ok I was successful at cracking the FA Futures modified version of the FA.exe so now you do NOT need to create a CD to boot FA Futures and you do NOT need the old FANOCD solution (of creating a virtual CD drive) I reverse engineered Ky3Mu4's exe file and found the switch to alter. It was quite simple and I can not believe I didnt think of it! Makes the game alot more stable and as Cent said this fix works on all operating systems... This is very good news for FA Futures and simplifies the install and use of the patch for all end users... The next release (gold date is August 31st) will feature this improvement! So Fetch, dont worry about contacting Ky3Mu4 and I appreciate the info you provided when I still thought I needed to talk to him.. CAG out... |

Sure thing Cent! Its actually just changing one flag... just one, in the entire EXE file, however... I would prefer to make available standard EXE that has already been modified, like Zephyr is already doing, so the end user doesnt corrupt his exe file by trying to hex edit it, but I will still post a small article about it on the VNFAWING.com site when it opens again at the end of the month, and you can feel free to copy that article off the site if you wish Cent... |
