While I'm waiting for my updated CD of FA to get to me.....so I can re-start my passion for flying FA....maybe I could ask....with all the new add-on's / LIB......what planes have the best peformace in this game?

Centerian (spelling??).....I plan to download your Remod 6 version.....can I ask...did you adjust any of the aircraft performance with this LIB?

Which planes do most of you think "this could be tough"...when you find out they are on your Radar?

F14 and Su35 (not the forest one) are tough as AI enemies because of their AIM-54 and AAM-L missiles.

For player aircraft everyone has got his own favourite aircraft, I don't think everyone would agree that one plane was the best, probably not even for one role.

we all adjust the performance of the planes in our LIBs, it's a major bone of contention because no-one REALLY knows exactly how they should fly. We have to research the planes extensively and take our best guesses from the data we can find.

I would have to say the best FMs are a mix of the 714 FMs and Kap's FMs...


However for the best of all worlds, FMs, improved weapons, improved graphics, the best is the FA Futures Patch...

the biggest problem with default FA is that the max G rates come in at too slow a speed, that's why every dogfight turns into a slow speed stall contest which doesnt happen much in a real fight. My FMs speciffically try to push the fight up into the transonic region where most real dogfighting takes place.

Lemme add one thing. Dagger from the 369th did some amazing flight models for GR6 so he is good at that too!

I have, unfortunately, not seen any of his work to coment futher. But I can definately say that Kap's FMs not only bring up the speed of the fight, they also increase the use of the vertical. The F-5 in FA FUtures is purely Kap's FM and that little fighter is now quite nimble and will not hesitate a moment to go vertcial!

that friggin F-5 is my bane lol I HATE matching that thing in a guns only fight it beats me almost every time. The little J-7 and J-8s are nasty too.
