FA-2, by definition, is something that is entirely and completely different then anything ever attempted with FA before... Just the definition of the project, the redevelopment and expansion of default FA to an entirely new and modern flight simulation demands commitment on a level never seen before in the FA world... The order of magnitude required to see this project through ranks on the same level as the Free Falcon (FF team) and the FF.exe, the F4 Unified Team (F4UT) and the SP series, the previous Real Patch team and their RP series, and the original IBeta team's of alterations to Falcon 4.0 all unified into one development. This means serious commitment and dedication to a single solution. Its is something that has eluded FA over the years. However, to accomplish FA-2 quickly, we need to all come together and work on this single project. This means we need to shelve our own mini projects and libraries and combine our efforts. The benefits of this are two fold... All of us want a better FA, this we can do together. The results will be the updates of this project will then be fully available to all future developers to refine into their own works, just as they are now, but with much improved graphics, FMs, weapons, etc as the basis to START their work, instead of finish it... Is this possible or just a pipe dream? I will need to know this now, for if it is a pipe dream, then I will have to substancially cut back on the schedule of Stage implementation I have already publically discussed... If not, then I need all the developers here and those that want to contrubute ideas (as some are now) and as beta testers to come forward and add your name to the list. This work is for the future of all of us that have held onto this simulation because it touched something in us that we did not find in any of the newer sims.. If we want to make FA a competitive and popular choice we need to all work together to accomplish this quickly, and we can not do that be continuing specific work on FA Futures, Kap series, GR series, mini libraries of dedicated airforces, etc... If we, as developers, are willing to do this then I will need to know over the course of the next few days... Thank you all for reading this... CAG out... |

another week for KAP3 and then I'll be (relatively) free as a bird, just let me know what you need. BTW I re-checked my F-4 FM against that F-4 FM that Andy sent me and it looks like it is WAY off, will re do promptly |
