The Desert Storm and Vietnam campaigns feature custom aircraft paint jobs. But you better get SP3 first..........that's what makes all the planes and stuff flyable.........even though they all use the default F-16 cockpit, but you get used to it. All the custom ones I tried looked like total crap. |

Even I don't know them all........such as the big red warning button (how to save my plane from some kind of problem basically), I have trouble with in-air refueling (I'm too jumpy), sometimes I have problems in a2a combat with my radar, etc. What I'm best at is bombing ground targets, I can do that in all a2g modes. Just find some kind of tutorial on the net, I personally used the pilots handbook that came with the game. Which is as thick as a dictionary..........no joke........... It's easy to understand though as it takes you step by step through the process. |

Da Big, your data is far out of date... You are no longer cockpit limited. The game now has an automatic cockpit switcher that will, if you have it loaded, replace the F-16 pit with the proper aircraft pit you are flying. There are also new 3D pits(For use in padlock) that are for soje of the other aircraft, like the F-18, that are also released... ANd yes the PMC TFW is an excellent site! I have been involved there with may F4 developments over the last several yeras... What most of you here do not know is that I am as heavy into F4 development as I am into FA... Just FA holds a larger part of my heart! |

I know that thing about the cockpits BTW CAG, I just chose to have the F-16 for all of them. The custom ones looked like crap when you switch to another cockpit angle, such as when you look down. |

You mean they look bad when you are looking inside the cockpit in the lower area or when you are looking outside below the aircraft? |

They look bad when I switch from any other cockpit view besides straight forward (the default view). |

I am not sure what you mean... You mean when you head swivel or are useing the 3D cockpit? In the default forward view if you rotate around I think they look fine, as long as you have them installed correctly? |

Then you are suffering either a miinstall of SP 3 or your video driver is out of date or perhaps you are experiencing a hard memory failure on your video card. The new pits never give me any problems with any rainbow effects. I have never seen any such effects in Falcon 4, much less SP 3... You may need to do a new full up installation and update your video drivers. If this doesnt work then you may be looking at replacing the video card as it will indicitate a upper leve memory failure... |
