I prefer urban, but the blue/gray variant. The Nam era tiger camo was cool too.

I'm a fan of the woodland but then again straight black is what I would do best in. Gimme the night, gimme the goggles, gimme the Carbine, gimme the terrorists! hooah!

Basically yes, it's called tropical though, don't ask me why. Looks better when Im wearing it of course.

Moreover I like the old US desert camo, don't like the new pattern.

I am definately a fan of the MARPAT (Marine Corp Pattern) BDUs that incorporate the USMC emblem into the digital pattern of the BDUs...

Here are the BDUs...

Here is the USMC emblem close up on the uniform showing USMC emblem within the cammo...

And you can even get your own action figure in the new USMC MARPAT! Gung Ho!

CAG you need to use less compression on those pics, the camo is just a bunch of squares!! Or turn up your anti-aliasing (hee hee hee)

LMAO, I've seen digital before, but they aren't using it on a large scale, are they? Anyway, I looks funny, but I wouldnt like to wear it.

somebody with a GA degree got loose in the design room, the way camos are printed doesnt require any "digitization" so it's just a style thing. If you wanna see somebody dissapear right in front of you take em out in the woods wearing "bark" camo and stand them up against a tree, POOF they're gone, the most effective I've ever seen. Of course we rarely fight in an Oak woods nowadays lol.

But basically I am with Cent, I'm a naturally stealthy person, despite my size I scare people with my ability to sneak up on them. Gimmee something dark and loose to break up the "human profile" a "sniper sock" for my head (same reason) and wake me at nightfall. Just let me do MY thing MY way and all will be well. One shot one kill, well on a slow night anyway lol.

The new digitized cammo is full scale replacement of standard woodland and desert BDUs...

And you all would be surprised at how effective it is... seems the human eye breaks images into a newar digital pattern itself for processing, so at distance the new cammo uniforms simply dissapear from view, as effective, if not more, then the bark cammo, which requires you to have the appropiate bark colors to match that of the local trees...

If you ask me they should have worn Artic Camo during the Afghanistan campaign. Sure desert blends in well, but the majority of the work was done in the mountians searching for the long bearded SOBs. Artic would have been ideal there.

nah, at a distance the human eye cant even pick up those spots on the BDU. In fact at a distance the eye doesnt even see color particularly well. In the 80s DOD tests showed luminescence (brightness) made a far more significant differance than any color combo, if you adjust the brightness just right the object blends in no matter what the actual color is. Up close , the trick is to disrupt the profile so the object doesnt assume an expected shape (thus the light gray front end of F-16, and the darker gray back end, neither part looks particularly "aircraft shaped" by itself).

Well what about how they wore green camo in the recent Iraq conflict? Green doesn't blend in well with sand IMO.....

Hey Kap, gotta disagree... I have seen how effect the new cammo is for breaking up the human outline. It works quite well in the field...
