To celebrate the final release of FA Futures, before all development shifts to FA - 2, VNFAWING.com website is sponsoring a Screenshot Competition for all FA Futures users!

The competition will run from Dec 1st to Dec 24th, so as to give everyone time to update to the final version of FA Futures (Korea 2003, yes its been updated to 2003 from 2000 to help users identify the final version). The winner will be announced on Christmas Day! The winner will have until December 31st to claim his prize, otherwise the runnerup will be awarded first place honors!

The top three places will all be awarded prizes. First place will have a choice of prizes. The choices being a new TrackIR hands free game controller, a new set of E-D® Glasses 3D glasses, or a new flight stick! Second place will have a choice of the two remainder prizes with third place will be awarded the final prize.

All entires will become the sole property of VNFAWING.com. The top winner screenshot will be displayed on the main page, the runner ups on other pages on the site.

The competition will be officially announced at the reopening of the VNFAWING.com website. The main page will have all details on how to signup and submit entires. Only 1 entry will be accepted from each applicant. No entries will be accepted prior to Dec 1st.

I will post some images that I have taken on the website to give simmers an idea of what the judges will be looking for...

The judges will be CAG (myself) and Tango. No submittals directly to the judges will be allowed. All submitals must come through the specificed email address and be contained within a ZIP file.

Bmp, Gif, Jpg images will all be accepted. All screenshots must be from FA Futures to qualify...

Good luck to everyone!

Hey, what program should I use to open screen shots in FA? I could use some help here, so I can take screen shots out and covert them to .JPG pic file.

Ctrl-Shift-Alt-V for taking a screenshot in FA.

Then you can use XNview to look at them and convert them to a viewable format.

A BMP format converter will be available at the vnfawing.com website once the site reopens and the competition starts.

You will have to either convert the image to a jpg using antoehr software package or using ms paint. However, if you have office 97 or newer installed, your ms paint will also allow you to convert to gif format, or if you have win xp then you can also convert to png format.

The flight stick prize will most likely be (but not set yet) a
Microsoft Sidewinder force feedback 2 stick...

(The full URL above may become truncated, if so please manually copy the full URL into your browser window..)

**** OR ****

A brandnew full copy of Lomac instead!

Now, for any of these prizes to be awarded and for this competition
to go forward there needs to be enough competitors, at least 25 (possibly more), or the competition will be called off...

Its the only way I can be certain that its worth the sponsorship costs from
VNFAWING.com...

Signups will begin on Nov 30th, but if your interested in the
competition then PLEASE post a response to this message so I can
begin planning so it will begin on time...

Tank, any location is allowed... So you are most definately welcome to compete...

Eagle, thanks for the response... So far with the other responses on other sites we have about 10 competitiors...

So hopefully by the end of the first week in DSecember we will have met the required minimal number of entrees... (it will be counted by entries, not just by registrants, they will have to actively compete)..
