Quickie.

For a custom start screen *you know to replace what you normally see when you go to choose what you want*

It's a

8-bit BMP 16 color ion 640 x 480...correct?

Nope....

Its a 256 bit map color screen....

yes 640 x 480...

And each existing screen has a different color pallette from each other...

So, this means that if you paste a new pic over the default and it looks terrible, try it out on all the different ones... pick the one it looks the best on and use the SAVE AS command when you open the others and save the new one as the other file name and you will have that working pallette for each screen...

Nevermind it didn't work too well so I just kept the originals and edited them slightly.
