ok i am currently making the map of outher ontario canada which includes toronto, niagrafalls and ect... which replaces the vald map.
how do i rename the map to ontario? erm also if any one knows, how do i insert images in the map.

The names on the map are listed under the .SPECIAL command in the MM file...


Example Below...

special <-- special command for map titles
pos 344187 0 586187 <-- positon on the map where title appears
name
Yellow Sea
<-- The actual title (in this case ocean name)
color 48 <-- The color of the print used for the title
icon -1 <-- Unsure , perhaps equivilent to alias #
flags $0 <-- indiciates this is a non mission item
. <-- end period for special command

I think he means how do you rename the map so it shows as something different in the PMC. Like you know how the Cold War dudes made southwest US and midwest US and Iceland? How to make it say that in the PMC. I.E. the same thing I am looking to do for Chechna.

And I found it. Go into the T2 file and open it via Text editor and change the very first entry and you'll see something where you can change the name in the first part where it says BIT xxxxx

You have to first upload the pic to a website and then link to it in your message...

such as...

[ img ] http://yoursite.com/picture.gif [ /img ] <--- just remove the spaces from the brackets between the IMG commands it will post the pic...
