Will united states take military action against iran because of its nuclear facilities and possible production of nuclear bombs? or will one of its allies try? Right now iran is going through a catastrophic economical situation because of its presidential election and the West is not happy about the new president either. Is there a better chance of US air strike?

hmm...So your saying that Israel will attack Iran from north and a Carrier will may be lost? im totally confused. first of all i don't think US can afford to lose carrier, thats just really stupid. US is stuck in a deep shit right now in Iraq. So im personally not sure if USA will take any action. It will be isreal on its own and im sure that azerbaijan, former soviet union, will be a base for israel as its too close to Russia and Turkey and Iran it self. They will probably use Isreal as a base and attack iranian nuclear reactor and then refeul at an iraqi airbase then return back to israel. It could also be possible that isreal will lose some of its aircrafts in combat. I dont really like your last sources either. Its total BS.

The Israelis may take Military action with our logistical support.
We or they will not put boots on the ground in any number in Iran.
Iran is the most populous Nation in the Gulf region, is sometimes called the China of the Gulf, and with human wave attacks similar to the ones during the Iran and Iraq could if not repulse any offensive would stop it dead within weeks of it's beginning.

The only hope for changes in the political structure in Iran must come from internal sources.

If Iran does deploy a nuclear missile system, as a sovereign country they pose no more a threat than Pakistan. The doctrine of absolute mutual destruction will continue to keep any legitimate government in check. It is their ties to terrorist groups that pose the threat.

I posted not sure. Depends on what kind of President we'll have after Bush finally leaves the White House. If it's another trigger-happy war mongerer then yeah, the US will probably go up and do it, Israel might lend a hand. Of course maybe having some evidence of foul play would be nice should the US decide to launch a pre-emptive strike.

Come to think of it, the US is the ONLY country in the history of the world to ever nuke somebody else, we have the most nuclear power generators in the world (I think, not sure about this) and we won't let anybody else even have nuclear power. No nukes have ever been used by anybody to kill civilians except us... Though I'm a little biased against the use of nukes. I don't really feel that the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki was completely justified, I believe that if the US blockaded Japan (Which was a plausible idea, considering the Japanese Fleet was caput) then the war would still end without sacrificing thousands of American troops. Granted the nuke was faster, but I don't really think it was necessary, but then again I'm thinking the President wanted to scare the Russians... Not trying to piss anyone off, just my two cents. Maybe Iran really does have nukes. Does that mean they'll use them? But think of imagine how we would feel when we think Iran might have nukes. Pretty scared, especially without the "Star Wars" missile defense system, huh? And why is that? Because we feel that we may be killed for absolutely no logical reason at all.

But try to think of how the rest of the world sees us. That's how many see us after Iraq. If you don't have evidence, don't worry about it. We'll just plant it, or make up a just cause.

WOA cag that is some prediction! i don't think anything is going to happen personally and if israel does get nuked, well... lets just say israel is a small country.

It will be upto US and europe to retaliate. remember there are how many are there now... 1.5billion muslims in this world? It will be catastrophic to nuke mideast. no more oil, more terrorists... not something the west wants.

if iran is going to deliver a nuclear strike, i think they will use the
TU-22M3 which is rumored to have been delivered. I think they may arm the recently acquireed AS-15 Kent with a nuclear warhead and fire it at long range or maybe use a simple scud missile such as shahab-4 fired along hundreds of scuds to avoid it from getting hit. But you are right, the Iranian government is dumb.

ps i dont think us will allow israel to destroy mideast. nor will china or russia. it just doesnt make sense. If israel retaliates no one knows what china will do to taiwan or maybe even usa.
