Last time i edited a texture file was last year when i edited a couple mig-21s and mig-29s. Unfortunatly due to lack of practice i have forgotten how to edit a texture file, (lets say mig29.bmp) using a bmp editor like paint in a way so it won't mess up the texture. what i mean is that after i edit a .bmp texture file (ie change the colours to something not available in the airbrush program) some areas go white or pink and it will mess up the texture. does anyone remember how to edit a texture file without messing the colors?

XP Pro using Paint Shop Pro I can tell you all you need to know, but I dont bother with MS Paint.

yup, all I'll add is that the LAST entry of the FA pallet is the only one that's transparent.

I have psp v9. But is it possible to use photoshop instead? In fact it is possible to view a color table in photoshop much like the color pallet in FATK.

also I would appreciate any help about setting up the pallet to keep the transparancy.

Pallett needs to be set to "pallet order" as I recall.
Photoshop is an abomination of how to make something difficult to use, I have yet to see it do something PSP cant do with much more ease.

I think i know how to now. Im gonna set up a color for transparancy and then apply that color for places i want it to be transparant. G FA is the most time consuming software i have ever modified. Just one question, what should i save the product as? cause bmp doesn't support transparancy i think.

As long as it's integrated to the Toolkit it will be automatic, just keep clicking "ok"
