Greetings all.

Please forgive me if this is a redundant post.

I've done a search but couldn't find anything.

I'm on XP Pro.
But the 1.02 patch in English gives me

"Old file not found... " so patch wasn't supplied.



I really loved this sim ---so many years ago. It was my first flight sim.

I know this is a rookie mistake posting a basic question here... but, is this problem resolveable?

[I click yes]

and "Old File not found"

[If I click no...]

It asks for EAEXE... but I can't find that file.

After you have installed FA do a search of your system for FA.EXE it will probobly be here:
C:\JANES\Fighters Anthology
Then you'll just click on FA.EXE and the patch will run.

I do that, initially, and then I get a dialogue box asking :

"ready to patch Fighter's Anthology?"


I say yes and then am given the question:


Windows system directory

Is located at?

C:\WINDOWS\system32

Yes No Cancel
Do you have any suggestions?

Yeah, do a search for the missing file and FIND it if it's there!!
On MY system EAEXEC.EXE is in the system32 folder.

This is getting depressing...

I found that file... Many thanks...

I locate it, point to it...and I press ok and...I still get the same error.

Check for spyware & etc..

Free virus scan at www.trendmicro.com called HouseCall.

Make sure that your pc is clean and do a defrag.

First, uninstall FA.
Second, install and then run the game and make sure that it works.
Third, copy the patch file into the FA directory (listed above). This should help in patching. The file in the system32 directory should be there, be sure to verify that it's there.
