As a general rule, are there texture palette indexs that will cause FA to crash if used in a texture? If so, what are the index numbers?

If you go outside the center 3 rows of the pallete you can indeed crash the sim very easily...

It has to do with errors with shading of the texture colors.

Plus, if you edit the skin in XP with the standard MS Paint, you lose the transparency in the skin and that can also cause a crash...

Good to know. Hey CAG, I actually fixed my problem through searching the forum on VNFAWING.com. You posted a while back that including the shape file in the lib seems to "stabilize" the texture, and it does indeed! 8)

Yes it certainly does, it has to do with creation dates and the way the operating system allocates files by lib date...
