report, I could still see some color/graphical errors; however, switching between in game 3d engine -which mean, doing a mission- and the game menu would switch it back and forth.... actually I wonder if that caused by FRAPS since actually unlike what I said before, FRAPS can work if you already started it..... I'm not 100% sure though....since some programs like MSI afterburner -video card monitoring software- always being killed whenever I killed explorer...

I too am looking for a solution to running FA on Windows 7-64. I can get the program to run but I too have those graphical problems. Unfortunately, the XP Mode isn't an option and my attempts at a dual boot simply failed. I am wondering about FANs fix there but he said it was only random. Now I'm running the newest drivers for my GTS 250 Nvidia card. Any ideas?

So far the only users I have seen that has been successful at running FA in Win 7 is when its run on Win 7 home edition.

BTW what have you been up to for the last several years?

Really, my only issue is the graphics issue. I can get the game to run and stable, with 1.02, with the no-cd. Toolkit doesn't work on Win7 it appears. I might do VMWare on its own hard drive partition and then load XP Pro onto it but that isn't really my area of expertise.

Well I have an update here. I installed VMWare Player and put XPPRO on it so I think I should be fine. I've never done this virutal machine stuff so I don't know if i need to do virus scanners and stuff. Any thoughts on this?

Yes you have to be patched and have the same protection as you did on a stand alone...

Well good news, works fine, toolkit installs fine and works, there's just one thing, I can't get it to go fullscreen.

EDIT fixed that fullscreen issue. Just changed the main resolution on my Win7 to 1024x768 ad the shell to the same. When it starts up it still forces 800x600 but when you get to the game it's 1024x768 at full screen.

Alt-crtl-del on the other hand is win7 only so if you have a glitch or some sort of lock up you're going to have to do it that way.
