I need some quick feedback from anyone flying FA right now...

I would like some feedback on existing shapes, like the MiG-17, F-4J, F-111 (dont need feedback on the swing wing vibration as that has been fixed on all swing wing aircraft), MiG-23, TU-26, MiG-25, J-7, AIDC F-CK-1 Ching-kuo, AV8B Harrier II, C-5 Galaxy, Mirage 2000, Super Etendard, F-8, C-130, and any other main aircraft you might think of that I have not so far modded...

I would like to see the feedback come in the form of a screenshot with text and graphics added to point out the areas in need of improvement, like Kap did on the MiG-21F in the following post...

How do you take an ingame screenshot?

You can take a screenshot by simultaneously pressing Control + Alt + Shift (they must be the buttons on the right side of your keyboard) and the V key. You may hear the in game radio voice say "Yahoo" when you press them. The screenshots will be in your Fighters Anthology folder with file names of "Screen_.raw" where the _ is a number. You can convert these raw files to more convenient formats using either the FA Toolkit (http://farc.3synergy.net/misc/fatk.zip), Raw2bmp (http://farc.3synergy.net/misc/raw2bmp.zip), or XnView (http://farc.3synergy.net/misc/XnView-win-full.exe). I think the toolkit is easiest to use once you have it installed.

So,

No one has found any issues with default FA good shapes? (I am talking about fully skinned shapes - Shapes with the cheap and undetailed overlay skins will be improved if possible to take the new highly detailed skins, if they prove unupgradeable they will be removed.)

Well, I suppose the Rafales could look a bit better...

Thanks but did you actually read the thread?

The Rafs have the cheap low res overlay skins so I am not interested in them at this time. For those models to be improved I must first determine if the aircraft has a skin size beyond 256x256 so that a new detailed skin can be created and implemented onto the shape.

Also if you do have an issue, take a screenshot as requested at the top of the page and add text as Kap did to point out the erros.

The Mirage 2000 could be improved although I basing this off if you use the Mirage 5 shape for the 2000. The wing area would need to be increased. The tail and exhaust nozzle could be adjusted aswell. The nose should probably be alittle shorter too.

I the C-5 could use some adjustment.



I will try to create side and front comparisons as well.

Great I can use it! And it needs a new skin as well. It has a low resolution overlay skin, but the good news is that it can be remapped over the upper surfaces to a higher resolution skin, up to 1024 x 1024, so the shape is worth the work...
