I can't believe the movie makers changed the enemy from China to North Korea. I know movies are not supposed to be realistic, but come 'on North Korea could barely defend their own land, I don't believe they have the equipment to transport all those troops and equipment across the Pacific Ocean. The Chinese are at least somewhat believable. I take that back, Hollywood is always kissing somebodys butt, I can believe it. Its too bad, I would enjoy a good war movie with realistic equipment and tactics. They should make Tom Clancy's Books "Red Storm Rising and Debt of Honor"

Sorry but the original plot was laughable to be very generous on my part, NK can't be less believable just different.

In the original Red Dawn the enemy was the Soviet Union. The Chinese were actually on our side, as they had been nuked by the Russians as well...

But yes its ridiclous they would use North Korea as an enemy in this remake of the movie. Their offensive power is a joke.

They're remaking the movie or are you thinking of the game "Homefront"? Red Dawn was an epic movie of amazing 80s awesomity. Wolverines!!!

Wow that is putrid but then again Hollywood is so uncreative right now all they are doing is remaking stuff and producing dribble that morons still go to see and then rave about like drooling morons.
