I will be releasing new shape, skin and PT file libs for individual aircraft very soon... Each lib will contain the proper flight model (from Kaptor) with the FAF Weapons (there will be seperate FAF weapons libs with proper skins, shapes, and weapons files as well as proper avionics and ecm libs)...

All will be importable for use by anyone on their libraries...

I have decided to do this because work on FAF has come to a standstill due to win 7 issues and these small seperate libs all work in win 7...

Therefore I think it best for the future of the sim that I release these to public use as soon as possible.

I will announce on this forum and the VNFAWING.com forums when I release each library with an appropiate link to the download center to obtain it.

I hope everyone and anyone intersted in these new game items will be able to make good use of them and enjoy them...

FA Futures/FA-2 is Still Being Worked On and Will Be Released...

VERY VERY much looking foward to it. However, will the new libs be able to just drop into the old FA futures, or will it be a complicated set up. I remember CAG or somebody saying that FA can only have so many libs inside at one time in order to work right. Just asking. Thanks

I look forward to seeing these as well. What are the Windows 7 issues?

I'm hoping to integrate the advanced FMs I did for you into my old Kapset03 Lib, but jeeze there is just no time to do that anymore, I just barely get to run Longbow 2 once a month or so and that's just for an hour or less.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to everyone...

The libs will work in default FA as long as you use all the FAF weapons/ecm libs with them...

The problem I ran into in Win 7 was failure to lauch with fully integrated FAF libs. I dont know what the problem is but the game fails to launch...

However with the individual smaller libs it runs.

Plus I will be releasing the enhanced FAF GUI libs as well, fully importable.

The FAF Korea project will continue, but at a very slow rate, and I just cant continue to hold onto all these great new items when the community has shrunk so much...

Hopefully these vastly improved and new aircraft and weapons with new shapes and skins will make a difference and boost development.

Kap, I love all the work you did for FAF as its all Grade A work and I hope you can, in the future, find time to use them to meet your needs. Your work really is amazing!

After I have released all the FAF aircraft libs I will begin releasing the new FAF vehicle libs for all ground vehicles, SAMs, AAA, etc...

Plus the FAF winter maps and terrains.

The libs will begin to be released before Thanksgiving and will continue until all are released. I hope everyone will enjoy them!

I still am running XP as long as MS will support it.
I wish you great success in your efforts with FAF in the future!!
You are pretty smart and will overcome the problems.

First libs will be released this upcoming weekend.

Should include the new F-14s, F-15s, F-16s (including XL) and F-18s (including the Super Hornets)...

To be followed the next weekend by the new EF2000s and Tornados

The next weekend the MiG-21s, MiG-23s, MiG-25s, MiG-27s, MiG-29s, MiG-33s, and MiG31s...

Then Su-17s, 20s, 22s, 27s, 30s, 35s, and 37 the week after that...

Followed the next weekend by the new J-7s, J-8s, J-10, J-11, JH-7, A-5/Q5, H-6

Also will release the appropiate weapon, ecm, and avionics libraries plus new cockpits...

All will have the new shapes, skins, flightmodels and improved avionics.

All will be downloadable from the http://vnfawing.com website off the main page and will be fully importable...

Thanks for all your hard work, really looking foward to it. Will you have installation instructions posted for those that are computer illeterate, like last time with FA 2003? I hope you can just drop them into the FA Folder and they will automatically replace the FA Futures 2003 Libs that I have already inside of the folder.

These will be small libs you can just drop into your FA folder to fly these particular aircraft...

Nothing like FA Futures which I am still working on.
