Question for all:

If you were to have a campaign built for you, what campaign scenario would you like? What countries, time period, reasons for battle, etc...?

Also, are there certain missions that would be neat to have, either general or specific?

No time limit on this thread. I'm just looking for ideas when the time comes to build a new campaign.

Thx.

I would like to send you a beta version of FAF Korea and have you build new campaigns for the war... replacing all default campaigns...

Multiple scenarios... I could go into detail when the beta is ready to send you, if interested...

No matter the campaign (s) but the fact of being able to choose his alliance within the game.

Have another approach to scenarios like the alliances NATO and SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) mainly for example ...

To be in the side of the allies as enemies.

Fighters Anthology allows us this possibility.

In Europe you have Belgium for example...

Between the separatists of the Flanders and the Wallonia. In the center you have Brussels region, where is also the headquarters of NATO in the EU.

More years pass, more unstable the economic situation becomes between the north and the south. The separatists want to join the Netherlands.

The balance of power is between the north supported by Dutch and south by France.

Though JKPFA has many neat features in it (some of which I have borrowed), it is not how I play my version of FA. The usnraptor playset is what I am familiar with and therefore build missions and campaigns to suit.

My next campaign, likely to be built this coming winter, will be a 25 mission Linebacker campaign to replace the FA default one (which plays like it was built as an afterthought). As with Yankee Station, it will be heavily inspired by actual events.

The following campaign is still in the air. I would like to pick planes that I almost never fly or see used. The Buccanear, Jaguar, Hawks, Strikemasters, Drakkens, Viggens, Starfighters, Fitters, Super Etendards, etc... and areas of the world I haven't played yet (France, Cuba, Pakistan, etc...).

JKPFA LIB With Mods focuses primarily on our time and in the future.

It's a shame that there are no campaigns / missions with ...

Nevertheless, i wish you a good continuation in your present and future projects, usnraptor.

cordialy

Why not make a Korean War campaign.
I notice you have some Korean War aircraft in your FTP files for FA.
CAG has a Korean War lib also.

Just an idea.

Best Regards,
Pappy

A Korean Campaign is high on my list. If FAF Korea is finished by then, I may build the campaign as a set. One for the usnraptor playset; one for FAF Korea.

Questions for everyone:

Other than the 1950-53 time period, What time period would you like to see?

What scenarios to include?

Countries involved?

Potential storyline?

Any other ideas to incorporate?

I'm always game for a 70s or 80s version of it. Perhaps one of North Korea's famous artillery firing or the axe incident led to a conflict. I did have plans - once upon a yonder - to make a Korean War Gone Hot Again based on the Axe incident but I never got around to it and my progress on Cuba here has been pitifully slow.

What about a campaign based on Operation Praying Mantis?

That is the tanker war in the 80's with Iran.
The US Navy was convoying oil tankers and the USS Princeton hit a mine planted by Iran.
The rest is history.

Another idea, would be a Libyan campaign when President Reagan ordered the US Navy to operate off Libya and cross The Line of Death in response to a terrorist bombing that killed US servicemen in Germany.
Dragon did a Libya campaign.

Best Regards,
Pappy

I would say Libya is less a campaign and more a mission or two. You could make a mission each for Sidra 81 and 89, then El Dorado (maybe a few missions for different POV but you could also have 1 mission with 8 opportunities to fly a plane), and then a few of the HARM strikes that they did prior. You'd be hard pressed to make 25 missions there.

The tanker war would be a hard one to make 25 too unless you did a multi-theater campaign.

A good idea, I want to say I did this once but again so many years ago. Iran-Iraq War campaign - and I believe I put in Praying Mantis with you flying A-6s.

Cent.

Thanks for the comments. I am not a lib maker just a flyer.

Dragon made 8 missions in his Libya campaign.
usnraptor did also ask for mission suggestions.

Some people still enjoy flying heritage aircraft in FA.

Best Regards,
Pappy
