I finally solved it.
Not on my own mind you.
I basically swiped Zephyr's RIM-67 from his 5.3 LIB and used it as a basis for my RIM-66L.
The crazy part is even when I 100% mimicked the settings, still no go.
Not a clue what I was doing differently.
For the past couple of nights, I have been working on the Ticonderoga VLS setup. I started with my own, then grabbed some info from Cent's GRX Ticon and what was said in here. Then moved on to mimicking (without directly copying) from JKPFA. I tried all sorts of stuff, including having missile heading (facing) left and right. For quite a while, my ship would only detect me long range from head-on. From back or side, I was practically right on top prior to being fired on. Even creating a long-range radar facing aft didn't work.
Here is what made the difference : When I installed
VIS360.SEE from
JKPFA (with the prior mentioned radar removed), my ship detected and attacked at long range regardless from what angle I approached (flying in an A-6). It detected and fired during all weather conditions. It detected the F-22 from over 30 miles out, but (fortunately) never fired on it; not even while passing overhead.
Note: it still requires a missile that is created to properly work as well. The statement above was made with ASROC from JKPFA.
