Would be awesome but here is the question. What are the increments in the cruise altitude set for, feet? Because if you set it for 1 will it be 100 feet above the launch, 1000, 200, etc.

Hellfire cruise setings of 20 20 20 30 gives a nice arched profile, with a flat spot on longer ranges

It's not 1000 feet per Toolkit increment, maybe around 100 or even less. Because 4 is the default setting for the Harpoon IIRC and that flies pretty low.

Okay so it's definitely gotta be 100s of feet. So 17 would be good for the Hellfire since it peaks 1,700.

Could it be 256 feet, thats what an increment of one is in terrain height.

Hmm...well it'd be 255 because if it goes up to 256 remember 0 is a number so it'd be 255. Intersante.

Interesting....

I simply have not investigated it very much...

However, altitude for the rest of the same JT file is done in thousands of feet and in miles.. so ... I would gues it would be along the same lines...

Now I have been doing some testing this weekend on my Maverick missiles and have noted a very strange error that occurs in 1 out of 3 launches..

At the last possible moment the missile will vere off the trajectory away from teh target either left or right and then slam into the ground... I am unsure of the cause, BUT I feel it is tied to the missile envelope and at what distance the missile is fired from the target...

Fired to close it usually never makes the full dive into the target, fired to far and it does that vere off.. fired in the 1/2 to 3/4 range it works fine...

FA can be very strange indeed...

Yea, but I think I will overwrite the FM of this missile with a different one that doesnt do the vere off(forgot to mention this is strictly on the laser guided model). I have limited time left to finish up on this version of FA Futures...

I can do the testing after this release...
