ok I sort of found a fix for this, it isnt great but it DOES give us most of what we want thanks to a mistake in FA. Heres the key to letting this work, apparently FA doesnt consider blowing up your own carrier tower as all that much of an offence ( they all musta been Leathernecks LOL ) So IF you blow it up you DONT get a "mission failure" !!! But if you hit one of the tractor/mules yer dead meat!!
the trick is blowing them up by running into it so that it doesnt destroy your plane too.
in the towers "object info" page you check mark the first 3 boxxes X others can collide X objects can collide X non players can collide
and then the last 2 in that column X projectiles pass through X not collidable when destroyed
these last 2 MIGHT be totaly optional I dont know
now in the damage page give the tower VERY low hit points anything above 10 screwed it up for me, and the damage inflicted numbers should all be zero.
This DOES work, you just have a damaged tower more often than we like, IF YOUR CAREFULL you can actually manuver around the Eisenhower/Nimitz tower with out blowing it up, NO such luch with Wasp though, any atempt to pass by it's tower will blow it up.
by the way this all is a waste of time if CAG pulls another rabbit out of his butt and finds a legit cure ROFL[/i]
