It's not a bad idea but I'm not sure. If a javareader could be devised to do it it would work very well...But here is the thing, we need to get air to air missile data to display in the debriefings for mplayer stuff first.

This is something I am working on for the FA Futures Campaign Manager, but I have no successful answer yet. Whenever I think I am close to a solution it craps out on me!

If you can make something like that will be very cool , i start to make a dinamic campaign generator, you know , like to simulate a whole front, but i need to extract the results of a battle in some way.

Well the best way is to learn from the 77th Gamblers. They ran a dynamic campaign and after each mission situation reports on what was lost, what was fired, etc. were handed in and then the next mission was made. It requires a lot of work.

Cent,

Are you saying the 77th found a way to export the information, or they just did it manually?

After each mission all the pilots had to write a mission report including screenshots of the kill messages. :(

Yep there ya go. When I was in the 57th I had pilots take screenshots of all their debriefing screens.

Well I built a java script for the online version of the FA Futures Campaign Manager that has fill in the blank choices, from popdown selection menus, on all the information presented in the mission debrief, and it automatically updates the campaign rank engine. Unfortunately there is no way to verify the data, but if they cheat for a higher rank, then they only cheat themselves.. If they move to high in rank to fast, then they are dumped to the self planning section of the campaign engine where they have to plan out their own missions and they will have only a limited idea of the number of threats, thus making successful mission accomplishment much more difficult! If they dont have the talent to go along with the rank they will never successfully move forward to the follow on sections...

well the java wasnt written to interface directly to FA. It was designed to be used in the campaign manager.

There needs to be a way to alter the output file that lists the gaming results to a file instead of just the screen. Once they are in a comma delimited or text format then they can be automatically access with a PSP written solution and posted automatically to the campaign manger...

However getting to that step is tough, but I think we can solve it with some applied brainage!

CAG out...

Well if we're using Java it's just a textreader that prints to a txt file. Not that I could do that for my life because I stopped caring about Java after my first semester of it let alone by the third I was like uhhh a what?

Cent its not the jave code that is the key... its the PSP coding interfaced to a MS SQL database server in the backbone. The SQL server stores the information and adds or subrtacts the earned points(or lost points) from the mission results... Then tabulates them into an interface record where those points are viewed as a rank status...
