I found reference to Windows 11 on my computer installing MS Edge.
Anyone know anything about 11 and how much longer Windows 10 will be supported?

Best Regards,
Pappy

Unless they've changed their minds they intend to do security updates through January 2023 and semi-annual support through October 2025 in at least one version.
Since Windows is bad every other version, I suspect Windows 11 will be junk, only time will tell.

Thanks for the information!
It was very helpful. Looks like we will have more time with Windows 10. :D

I only ever upgraded out of Windows 7 mainly because I got tired of playing Whack-a-Mole with Microsoft on updates.
You see I put a 7th generation CPU and they have an update that basically stopped updates if you had this CPU to force you into upgrading.
For a while I was good at finding that update and not doing it but they kept changing it. Just got too tiring.

I really think you guys should get a legacy (Win 98, ME) rig while you still can. One of these days, MicroJunk will decide no one needs to run old software, because it's racists or some other BS excuse, and then you'll no longer be playing FA and other old games.

Windows 11 will only work on systems with Generation 8 or higher CPUs from Intel and only the latest AMD CPUs. It also require TPM 2.0 security module on the motherboard or CPU. 64GB hard drive space and 4GBs of ram. Compatible with DirectX 12 or later graphics card with WDDM 2.0 driver..

VMWare is crucial to this if you have space constraints on a 2nd computer.
You already cannot run the FATK on W7 or later.
