This is crazy! If .50CAL @ 12.7MM is overkill then imagine a near 1 caliber right! Sheesh!!!

Notice the only flaw is the recoil as stated in the article. They are working on that so I imagine that when it gets into M109 form that the recoil isn't going to be much more than a standard M82/M107 puts out. Extra padding in the butt stock and recoil suppressors would be added. Notice the part about the muzzle brake coming off? Imagine a suppressor on this sucker? Hell I want to see the flame of it when its fired and know the muzzle velocity.

What that gun needs is to be made like that bad ass new Soviet machine gun (name escapes me) the one that the barrel recoils like a cannon.
That sucker is so bad it shoots two bullets into the barrel at almost the same time one right behind the other they come out so fast.
Damn I wish I had a link to some details one that gun ... it's absolutely the baddest assalt rifle on the planet today. (OK maybe that's my opinion, but I ain't alone)

I like guns that stay solid and only the barrel recoils. Those are cool. If only they made turrets with those on them for soldier use.
