More US Marines have been sent to Norway to train their military.
All total of 1,000 Devil Dogs are there.
Interesting, Russia is claiming this is an escalating the Cold War and have held major naval exercise in response to the Marines.

Semper Fi, Marines!

A 1,000 US Marines is a force to be reckoned with! :)

Best Regards,
Pappy

Marines train in Norway regularly and they have been since the early days of the Cold War. It's really nothing monumental either way. In fact, the Marines often get a lesson on how to fight in the cold weather from the Norwegians. The Marines don't *always* do so well compared to their Norwegian counterparts. I wouldn't read too much into it.

"Russian Naval Exercises"... that's an oxymoron!... did they bring out their one carrier with the dead engines and its ocean going tug to pull it back home? How about their other two surviving surface combatants?
