I found, through investigation, that there are higher levels of intelligence for the AI within FA...

The game has higher potential for the AI that is untapped within the GUI of the game. The menu selection of ACE is not really ACE, they did not give you the maximum level AI selection within the game..

ACE is definately not the highest level. I believe the reason they did nto go to the maximum capabilites of the AI engine, is that when you fly against a pair of these 'elite' AI pilots, they will usually kill you, unless you are in a markedly superior aircraft or you cheat and fire head on at the cross, etc...

You may be asking "How can I access this higher AI if its not within the menu?"

Well it requires the use of your text editor and you will need to edit your missions manually...

Now I already did this for the new MM files for FAF and the AI for the SAM sites and AAA gunners are now much more deadly. thus if you build missions on the Korean Map in the next release of FAF, the defenses built into the map will be much more deadly in your missions...

Simply follow this procedure for all objects with weapons within your mission to bring them up to this same capability...

skill 1 <<<----- Change the skill # to 4 to get the superior AI Super ACE level. FA will allow higher, but 4 seems to be the deadliest level...

Change all the skill levels to 4 and you will have quite an interesting battle, especially if you fly agaisnt a pair of high performance bandits in guns only or guns and tail chainsg IRs only...

Yah this you didn't know about? I've given them 4 a bunch of times. We commonly refered to that as "Mad-Dog" skill level. It's an oldie. Will be in the tips section of my manual if it isn't already.

Damn! No I didnt know it, and evidently alot of us didnt...

However all AI has to be set to this level to get the effect, or the upper level menu options willnot be open to the AI...

Yeah its one of those things you have to do in the M file like fuel and hardpoints you know.

Right, but the meaning is that ALL Objects in the mission MUST be at Top Ace level to get the true effect...

Not just a few of the items... and the MAP MM file items must also be at level 4...

I believe that level 4 was originally deisigned for use in campaigns only, where all the mission and map items are game controlled together... That is why its designed to work interconnected...

I have found that SAMs on the MM file will not fire at max ranges anymore when using the SUper Ace stting, but wait for you to get within 'lethal' range instead...

Making survival that much more difficult...
