And for scale here it is fired from the New F-15C improved shape and skin (notice thinner fuselage... detailed skin on the afterburner cans... And improved seperate (right/left) wing skins with national markings only on left side wing and the inner tail surfaces no longer carry the tail codes)...

Plus various views showing the new details....

KICK ARSE!!!! I liked the new look of F-15C shapes! I also am curious about one things, I just hope I doesn't give you any pressure, but were you planning on 'smooth' out any of curves on shapes? Even if they doesn't have 'smooth' curve, these new improved F-15C look very good, and they look even thousand time better than orginial janes shapes, period.

Keep up your good work, and I hope to get your reply soon!

:D

Well you are right and wrong! Kap talked about the tail fins in his reponce to my earlier post, but you know, he gets no respect so I ignored him... (lol J/K!)...

You said some more about the fins when we chatted on ICQ prior to his post...

But Its true... Kap deserves credit also! Thanks Kap!

Looks like I still need to lengthen my sidewinders...

See this pic of the AIM-9X and check the size of the missile in comparison to the launching F/A-18C...

Thanks to Zephyr, I now have a better pic to compare it to... one of an F-15D launching an AIM-9X...

Image

This pic also shows me that the F-15 shape nneds to be lengthened a bit for a more realeastic looking Eagle... I will do this tonight and post some pics of the improved shapes tomorrow...

those are both excellent pics, you shouldent have any problems comparing the body diameter to the fin height and distances. Hell, just take a screenie of the missle you have and crop it to just the missle. Then crop the missle from these pics and zoom the 2 pics next to each other, any differances should stick out very plainly.

The shapes in the screenshots look convincing. The scales are consistent when comparing them to photographs, although you cant always determine the angle of the photograph, so it will never be possible to find out the exact dimensions, except if anyone has a blueprint.

One thing I definately have to do... is stretch the fuseage of the F-15 from the engine intakes backwards to fix the shape... That is why it looks wrong to me...

Thanks Kap for helping me figure out how to do this to get the correct scale!
