Gentlemen, I've just recently found your site. Very nice! I've been playing FA for a long time and I'm by no means a newbie. I've pretty much played all included missions and I'm sick of the single missions and I'm ready to try some of the campaigns posted on your site. However, after reading the FAQ and other articles, I'm completly confused as to what one should do to run these missions. For that matter, where to start. Please make some recomendations as to how I should proceed. Thanks. Dana |

Which exact file are you attempting to use? If the campaigns are .lib files, they need to be put in the Fighters Anthology directory, and then can be played form either the Single Missions or Campaign menus in the game. Zephyr |

Thanks for the reply, Zephyr. I realy don't have any file in particular that I want to use since I really don't know where to start. I'm not all that interested in playing anything in the single player missions and, in fact, I would have no problem in removing all the default single missions and canpaings and loading it with only some of those on this site. I've also read of various "fixes" to make everything more accurate. Again, I'm just not too sure where to start and sort of need a primer. |

Basically all of the "fixes" are lib files: modifications to the game. Usually they are incompatible with each other so only one can be installed at a time. They are installed by moving the .lib file(s) into the Fighters Anthology directory. Some have other files that need to be installed as well, so always read the readme files. Some libs are small and change a few things, and alot of them are large and change every aircraft, weapon, vehicle, ship, etc. along with graphics, sounds, sometimes new aircraft panels, etc. Missions hosted at the FA Resource Center are either groups of files, where each file is a single mission, or lib files which contain missions. Installation is just by moving the mission (*.M) and briefing (*.MT) files into the FA directory. Or if it is a lib file, moving the *.Lib file into the FA directory. Then, in FA you can fly the missions in the Single Mission menu. Or, some mission addons will replace a campaign, or add a new campaign, and these are flyable from the new campaign menu. Basically I can recommend downloading what looks interesting and trying different libs and missions out. Centurian has a huge collection of new WW3 missions, follow the link and click campaigns: http://www.theforsakenoutlaw.com/FA/downloads.htm "520 missions of insanity and chaos in many, many, many campaigns ranging from Afghanistan to Iran to Cuba to Russia to North Korea to the Middle East and to South America." I third it... Cents libs are easy to install, stable, and he builds tons and tons of missions for them... Great solution to get your feet wet with third party upgrades... CAG out... |

Thank you Gentlemen for the help. I went with his WW3 camapaign and it seems to run with no problems. However, after trying the first mission, I can see things are MUCH different. My aircraft was loaded with a GBU that I was not familiar with. While I had a 90% hit showing, I was not getting any kind of lock, etc. Does he have anything avaliable I can read that will explain some of the added weapons and how to ues them? Thanks again! |

The very first mission of part 1 using the B-2. If I recall, it was "GBU-31(V) etc... Something like that. I was to take out an airfield runway. |
