I copied a weapon I used in a previous project to my project in progress on FATK. Now, this weapon does what I want it to do, but I want a new name for it. The minute I change the name however, the game CTD's...
It was a camera pod which made a camera noise, but now I simply changed the noise to sound like a MEGA PHONE on the outside of a helicopter (police). All other changes made (including the camera sound to a mega-phone message) work 100%, but as soon as I change the name of the camera pod, the game crashes!

well i got what i wanted to accomplish pretty much finished except for the whole name thing? its not really complicated what im doing... i just made a weapon that fires nothing and the firing sound is a sound bite from the movie outbreak where a helicopter pilot uses his mega phone and warns people from entering a military area, its a little effect i wanted to try and so far it works???

FA Futures/FA-2 is Still Being Worked On and Will Be Released...

well i had a RAPTOR pod which was supposed to mimic a thermal camera by taking pictures etc... basically really does nothing, but then I wanted to simply change the name to SPKR and change the firing sound... but I found the game would only allow either the RAPTOR pod or SPKR, but not both, but I recently re-booted my computer, now it allows both in the game... i've noticed in many occasions however where FA CTD's and a simple re-install of the lib or a re-boot fixes the problem??
