I have been all over the internet looking for information on the performance of the F9F Panther, but all I can find is basic stuff; speeds, ceiling, etc. I have consistently failed to find out just how maneuverable the Panther was. How many Gs are we talking about here, and at what altitudes? |

I am not sure G's were ever really listed for this aircraft, as it was the 1st real generation of jet for the USN. However, I do have... US Navy Standard Aircraft Characteristics F9F-2 "Panther" http://imagery.vnfawing.com/archive/Air ... 9F/f9f.pdf |

Wow, that was some seriously detailed stuff! Looks like I had my gun armament right, but I thought for the longest time that the Panther didn't have an ejection seat. Looks like I will have to add one. Still no G info, but I did find some numbers that I can guage myself against to find out if my flight model is accurate. Thanks for the link. P.S. Sorry about the thing with Kap, I didn't mean to overstep my bounds. |
