Is it possible to erase or take away the radar dish off the E-3 sentry?
If I did so, the body and paint would basically resemble the P-8A, except for the fact there is 4 engines and not 2. Is this a polygon editing thing or is there an easy way to do it?

I used the A310 shape for this aircraft. The scale of the shape may be off. The shape is also too short and squat, but I think the E-3 shape would be too long.

As for your original question, why start with the E-3 when there exists the KC-135 and the 707 with no radome and full shape textures. They share the four engine problem of the E-3 however.

the only reason i like the E-3 is because the paint scheme is perfect. I have a hard time painting the face and nose of the 707, the E-3 is perfect for what I had in mind, but I guess I'll just have to settle...

I feel your pain, man. If I could only chop the nose off of the BAe Hawk, it would make a perfect F-86 Sabre. But as it is, I still think it looks pretty good from the rear quarters. Unfortuantely, unless you know shape editing the way CAG does, you can't do stuff like that.

Isn't the 707 or KC-135 shape color-able in Airbrush? Color the entire shape in Airbrush and then it will be the correct color on the nose, and from far distances. And you can change the green KC-135 texture to gray in one fell swoop.
