Post subject:  wav files "5k"

In order to replace game sounds, i know you have to covert the wav file to that "k" but I can't figure out how to covert a wav file to .5k, i can do 8k and 11k just fine, but i don't know how to convert to .5k, can anyone help?

Where are you getting your new sounds? If you are recording them with a program like Total Recorder Pro, all you have to do is select the correct sampling rate (should be five thousand and something).

Simple way to create a new .5K file...

Open an existing .5K file through the FATK, save it to desktop, then open it with the windows sound recorder, move the progress bar to the end of the file (or play the sound to the end of the file) then use the EDIT function and select INSERT to insert the new file you want to be a 5K file into the sound recorder, this will automatically convert it to 5K format, then EDIT and DELETE BEFORE CURRENT POSITION and it will erase the original sound file, then SAVE AS to the same file name as exisiting, then IMPORT AND CONVERT to the FATK overrighting the EXACT FILE NAME YOU WANT TO REPLACE...
