I know many of you that are playing with Jane's FA are using WinXP, well I did get it working on that but can't seem to on vista...if anyone can please help me I'd be greatful.

The game opens up, logs into missions and briefing but the sim won't load just ctd.

Whatever you guys can do to help would be great

I have had no problems running FA or FAF on VISTA locally. The only issue I have heard of is wrong video drivers for the video card.

On multiplayer we have run into issues with VISTA hosting, but that may simply be a problem based on VISTA security...

Did you patch your FA installation with the 1.02F patch?

Also did you do a fresh install on VISTA or did you simply copy a working FA 1.02F patched install off an XP or 98 system onto your VISTA?

FA Futures/FA-2 is Still Being Worked On and Will Be Released...

I'm running Vista, with a fresh install of FA, there was no copying from another pc's windows onto this computers system.

Another one is I'm running an ATI card with latest drivers on win vista...so I'm not sure how else to get FA working at this point...another other leads or tips you could gimme would be awesome...thx

Well, did you patch it with the 1.02F patch? I see no info about that in your answer?

sorry forgot to put that in my last reply I did patch with 1.02f and to avail.

Well then the best advice I can give you is to copy a working install, that has also been patched with 1.02F onto your VISTA machine and see if that runs. If it doesnt, then your VISTA setup is the cause, if it does run then your installation was corrupted...
