Post subject: | And now another oddity - not enough memory |
Yesterday I installed FAF 2003 to check it out - pretty sweet! But then I tried opening regular FA, and it said "not enough memory" on startup. So I rebooted. Same thing. This morning, I removed FAF and tried running FA, and *still* i get the "not enough memory" thing, even after a reboot... any ideas what happened/how to fix? |

Are you trying to start the game with the CD in? |

As per the instructions, I removed the CD while starting FAF, but I naturally put it back in when trying to boot stock FA. |

FA is very annoying at times, sometimes i want to pull my hair out. There are unexplained reasons for crashes, graphic, sound and various other problems. There simply is no solution other than complete removal of the game and re installation. |

If you downloaded FAF 2003 then you over wrote your original FA.exe with the one in the zip file and if you leave the CD in then you will get such an error... However, if you have removed your default FA.exe and then reinstalled it, its a different issue... Did you follow all the installation instructions in FAF 2003 or did you just dump it into your FA folder? |

I have default FA installed on my C Drive. For FAF, I made a fresh install of FA on my D Drive and started with that; FAF never touched the C Drive. On an aside: someone's probably mentioned this already, but the DPRK MiG-21 (one of them) is actually is Yugoslav People's Air Force markings... |

I know, I used the same graphics because I liked the looks... The insignias are very close and that was prior to compressed skin files, so I could not get a better NKAF insignia... |
