It was in the OSD oddly enough. I had it set to "Full Screen" during set-up, tonight I was in there poking around again and changed it to "aspect" and VIOLA all is well in FA again

How can I run FA on a widescreen monitor? I just tried it and it stretched it out a lot. |

If your monitor has a mode such as "Aspect" or "1:1" you can put it in that and the game will not be stretched. Also, if you have an Nvidia card, there are some options in the Nvidia Control Panel. Display --> Change Flat Panel Scaling ... "Do not scale." I selected this option on my widescreen monitor and reduced to a 5:4 resolution, Windows became a box in the middle of the monitor with black bars on four sides. I loaded FA and it remained a box in the middle, with correct aspect ratio. Going to check ATI settings on my other machine and will post results.... Update: The option should be in ATI Catalyst Control Center (advanced mode) under Panel Properties---> Attributes. There are then a few options for Image Scaling. This option only shows up on LCD panels connected using DVI. My monitor is connected with 15 pin D-Sub and the option is not even there. Hope this helps. Zephyr |

No joy so far. I even tried running it at just 1024x768 with the same panavision-like results. |

It was ordered on the Gateway at purchase, it's an OEM ATI RADEON 600 |

Do you have Catalyst Control Center installed, and is Image Scaling an option in the Panel Properties menu? |

Didn't come with CCC but I installed it last night. It has the "maintain aspect ratio" option but it doesn't "take" when I check it, just reverts to "full panel", "centered timings" will stay selected but doesnt seem to do anything. |
