Now that FAF Korea is nearing competition the next project will be an enhancement of the FA Vietnam theater...

All the same improvements put into FAF Korea will also be put into FAF Vietnam, but the work shouldn't take very long to complete because most items in FA can be improved to FAF levels and not to many new items will need to be produced...

New Aircraft, ground vehicles, ships, new terrains, etc. will still have to be created but there is so much to work with from existing FA that can be improved (and many carried over from FAF Korea) that it should be completed within a normal dev time instead of the insane time it took to build FAF Korea...

Do you mean the historic era 1964-1973?

I mean FAF Vietnam will be the Vietnam War and the Vietnam Campaigns, new campaigns and a rebuilding of the default Vietnam campaign to better represent the FA Video pulled from the game and posted on the main vnfawing.com website. I don't do only eras like default FA does, I instead do specific War Theaters... Since Vietnam is an actual historic war there will be separate campaigns for separate segments of the war, but there wont be any items for other simultaneous conflicts at other parts of the world at the same time frame... Those other conflicts will instead have other FAF Theaters, like FAF Israeli Wars, FAF Desert Storm, FAF Europe, etc...

Yes, Vietnam theater is a good choice.

The Vietnam War is a very long and specific conflict with a complicated political background.
I think, it's still a deep wound in the souls of many Americans.

Anyway, the Vietnam War is the biggest military conflict of the Cold War.

BTW, this period was elaborated in great detail by Eric L. Howes aka 'Eburger' in your Project - Air War: North Vietnam (AWNVN).
Eburger created a campaign with lots chronologically compiled missions based on real events.
I still have a copy of his website saved on my computer.

Eric (eburger68) is active on the Combatace forums. I think you'd have a good chance of contacting him there - he basically recreated his Vietnam project in Strike Fighters, and it's great.
