Post subject: | Campaign - Carrier Landing rearm |
Right now, I'm playing/modifying the Ukraine Campaign. Every time I land on the ship, the plane gets rearmed. How do I stop this? Secondly, after editting the cam file for Ukraine, I have 5 extra A-7s (should be zero). I read Kaptor posted in the past that there is no fix for this. Is this still true? Thanks. |

Dont know about the A-7s, but you only refuel rearm (as far as I know) on a carrier when you taxi back towards the cat after release from the wire and have used at least 200lbs of fuel. Where on deck are you rearming? |

As soon as the trap is complete (plane stops; throttle automatically goes to zero), the a/c is refueled/rearmed. |

That is a hard coded rearm procedure... This is in a campaign, right? So you cant use cheats to refuel before trapping... |

That is a neat trick on the refuel, but I have never worked on campaign missions so all of it is a new neat trick to me! lol You should give the Nimitz a longer search distance than 25 miles... |

I just modified the Ukraine mission 'Stealthy Ivan'. Originally, the mission had a stealthy Su-37 sneak up and attack the carrier while you defend yourself from Su-27s shooting at you after launching from the carrier. Somewhere from US Navy Fighters to Fighters Anthology, the Su-37 disappeared and was replaced with the Su-35. Allowing the carrier to defend itself makes the mission boring. So, to counter this, I increased the strike force attacking the carrier, changed the storyline to say that the enemy is testing a new jammer (reflecting current events), and made the ship's defense system inactive. Lastly, the player's (and wingman's) aircraft has its radar disabled (command line: hardpoint 2 0 <--location of radar on my version of F/A-18C). |

That is some nice imaginative thinking on your part! |
