Hi Hawke, Thanks for all the great work you have done. I especially appreciate your making the Tomcat look great. http://myplace.frontier.com/~usnraptor/ I actually had to do a side by side of the Eagle to see the difference. UPDATE: Image no longer available. |

Nice work... I have not looked at the KC-135 yet for improvement, as its lower down on my list... I did build a KC-10... My shapes are built by hand with hex editing instead of using a tool... ![]() ![]() ![]() |

hawke Will your plane shape libs work with other libs installed in FA? Does the F14 lib include a Black Bunny F14 and an IIAF F14 skin? The F14 and 18 shapes are really good! Best Regards, Pappy |

Yes, I would like to put it in the Yankee Station campaign as the final mission. It looks great. PM sent. Also, anyone who wants to e-mail me can find my e-mail at the bottom of my website: http://myplace.frontier.com/~usnraptor/ BTW, I have 24 missions built. I think it will be a 30 mission campaign. It covers 1964 through 1966. |

usnraptor Have you checked out Dragon's Yankee Station missions on the Missions page on FARC main page? I have flown them and Major Dragon's missions are historically accurate. Just a tip. Best Regards, Pappy |

Yes, a few months back, I downloaded all the Vietnam stuff on FARC, including Dragon's, and checked it all out. (One of the things I was trying to find was the missions/campaign where the person made F-105 missions with the KC-135 being considered as 'home base'.) I've been trying to build missions based on actual events. It's been real tricky finding the right combination of historical accuracy, FA logic, and fun factor. I fear players will find many of the missions boring because I tried too hard to "stick to the script." With my other campaigns, I controlled the story line. With this one, history controls it. I have done waaaay more research on these missions than I had planned. Yet, what is interesting, and fun, is to see how these campaigns grow and become a life of their own. Perhaps like a fiction author writing a book (I assume). He may have a general idea about the story line, but at some point the characters develop over the course of the story and the story writes itself. Speaking of which, mission 25 was built today. It is based on the August 12, 1966 bombing of the Hai Duong bridge by a single A-6 [VA-65 Fighting Tigers]. If you fly the mission on time, it will be boring (just like the real-life mission). If you show up late, good luck! |
