Completed P-3C Shape with US Navy Markings (P3C Shapes & Skins) and with original selectable markings (P4C Shapes & Skins) ...

I added the MAD Boom and more detail to the skins. Added the hard points where the Harpoon Missiles, Sidewinder Missiles, Bombs, and/or Torpedoes are carried on the wings, also added the Sonobuoy bays behind the wing on the lower fuselage. All Crash shapes and shadow shape match the improved main shape.

Zip File contains both Libs and the original FATK Files for these aircraft...

I hope you like it! Download link below:

You are welcome... Are there any other aircraft that you may need? Could you still use that A-3J/RA-5C Vigilante?

I would totally cheer on a Vigilante.

For the upcoming USAF Linebacker campaign (3 of 25 complete), I would like a gray/aluminum MiG-19 with the engine intake in the nose. Perhaps the Q-5 with the nose radome replaced with the engine intake.

No green on the nose though.

Red block communists numbers on the nose would be a nice touch. I noticed the Q-5 texture doesn't have the numbers on the nose, but the destroyed Q-5 textures do.

I'm currently using a gray Q-5 with the side intakes grayed out, but it is hideous.

The A-5 would still be a welcome site.

All work is appreciated.

What about a RB66 and EF10 countermeasure planes for your Lib?

Best Regards,
Pappy

I've thought about those (and the EC-121), but they are near the bottom of the priority list. With the limitations of FA, and the secondary role they would play in the game, I figure it best to save any favors granted for bigger prizes.

The MiG-19 showed up at least once in Yankee Station 1972, may have appeared in a couple other campaigns (don't remember at the moment), and appears in the first mission built for the new campaign.

Were those ChiCom Mig19's that challenged some Navy F4's over an island?
I thought that NVAF only flew Mig17's and Mig21's in combat.
They did used a twin seat Mig17 trainer I think.

Glad to help with suggestions. :D

Best Regards,
Pappy

Chinese MiG-19s shot down a lost F-104 near Hainan Island (Yankee Station 1964 campaign) resulting in the only US pow held in China (publicly anyways).

May 10, 1972, Robert Lodge & Roger Locher were shot down by MiG-19s (Linebacker 1972 campaign under construction).

May 18, 1972, VF-161 shot down a pair of MiG-19s.

September 9, 1972, Captains Madden & DeBellevue shot down a pair of MiG-19s, making WSO DeBellevue the leading ace in Vietnam with six kills.

There were other kills as well. Until I started building the Vietnam campaigns, I too thought like you. I have really learned a lot these past few years.

Thanks for the education.
I did not know that.

Best Regards,
Pappy

I still think the USAF should have used the "RIO" term for the F-4 back seater. Silly USAF.

I have a MiG-19 1/2 way in process and the A-5 is about 3/4s done. Which do you prefer first?

I'd like MiG-19 first. I just started mission 5 and have been looking for good MiG-19 engagements in order to showcase it.

If anyone has a good source of A-7D missions in North Vietnam in 1972, please let me know. The info I have is rather vague. Same with the F-111.

Thanks.

Ok I will work on the MiG-19 first. This is a complicated shape. It likely will not have a skin anywhere near as good as the P-3C because its an overlay skin. I can make a good one but it would take a very long time and require many changes to the skin locations on the shapes. But I can do a silver one that looks good in flight and add Chinese and with North Vietnamese markings if the game doesn't show one in flight... Its been a while since I worked on it and it only displays in the old shape editor so I can only observe changes to the far shapes in flight as only the close shape shows in the old shape editor...

As for the A-7D and F-111 missions have you tried joining one of the many facebook groups or searched online for their pages?

For the A-7 on Facebook...

For the F-111 on Facebook...

You know while we're on this topic because this is something that I've been trying to find out for ages.
Insofar as I've determined, the first aircraft to integrate a CCIP versus the old bombing reticle was the A-7D.
Anyone have any further details?
