I have built a new SU-27 Flanker shape out of the SU-35B shape that is much more stable then Hotfrog's version and has the foreplanes removed in all stages of the shape, plus I created a new shadow shape to go with it...

I used a different approach then Hotfrog did, in removing the polygons, so it removes some of the game 'stutter' when using the shape and removes the intermitten crash to desktop when in F9 view at close range...

These new Flankers will be in the next release of FAF...

That is one thing I've always had against FA. The Flankers are some of the ugliest looking birds in there especially the Su-27s and Su-33. The Su-35 at least has some substance to it.

Great!!!! I can't wait, and I'm glad that you have accomplished this part! I do agree with Centurian that standard Sukhoi Su-27 and Su-33 have most unrealistic and ugly looking shape. I always wondered if it would look even better when using Su-35 shapes while editing this shape. But you have accomplished that, and I really look foward to new version of your FAF lib!

Plus, if you dont mind, show us screen shots of your new Su-27/33 shapes as well!

:D

There are saying "Determine and Patience is a key" to accomplish anything or goals in your life. It is okay to be very frustrating, but you must just keep going! Because, when you finally be able to upload anything someday, it'll pay off and you'll be joyful again!
But, I just wanted to say this, KEEP up your great work, and we are looking foward to it!

;)
