Hot off the radio waves. FLASH
Boeing is going to shut down its prduction line for the Air Farce's C17 transport plane. Kaptor, Air Farce is a great name. :) The reason given was Congress had not authorized the purchase of more C17's throught recent approiration bill.

Would this have sometime to do with the Air Farce cutting half its planes from inventory to afford to buy a small fleet of F/A 22's?

Regards,
Pappy

Right now EVERYTHING has to do with buying F-22s.
C-17s will still be made for a while, AF wants Congress to do the dirty work and find the money for them. When the line DOES shut down they will be saving the tooling and machinery so if needed they can start production back up again with a minimal amount of fuss.

*** ahem ***

Gentlemen,

please excuse me in advance if it's even not my business, but I believe is a representative organ's main own work to assure that its Country armed forces will get all they need more than enough satisfied...

If not so, would be fair that the least all the above representatives can do should be called to serve and defend personally their Country as the first instance instead those poor guys they're sending harmless at war  - and don't know precisely why, but this way I'm sure they'll be able to learn something useful about real life very, very soon, I'm sure that you kindly mean.

lol yes a mandatory service in the armed forces for congressmen/women and senators would not be a bad thing. Many of them have already been in the services at some point long ago, they need a refresher course

Agree on this, Kap, and most of all for many and many "honourable" representatives of my Country, in particular
